PROJECT OVERVIEW

Velora is a new venture focused on building modern, off-grid A-frame homes designed for simplicity, sustainability, and style — exclusively in Colorado. Brought on as the sole designer, I led everything from branding and UX to UI design, content strategy, and developer handoff, shaping the project from a rough idea into a compelling digital experience.

The goal was twofold: spark early interest from future customers and provide investors with a clear, emotionally resonant vision of the company. With upcoming investor meetings and no existing site or brand, the project was highly time-sensitive and needed to feel polished across both desktop and mobile.

Turning Their Vision into Something You Can Scroll

The vision was clear—modern A-frame homes made for the Colorado lifestyle—but everything else had to be built from scratch. No logo, no brand, no website. My role was to translate a deeply personal product vision into a digital experience that felt just as intentional and refined.

We had only six weeks from our first call to their investor pitch. With most resources going into product development, I handled everything from brand identity and UX/UI to writing the full site copy and generating imagery using AI (since real photography wasn’t an option yet).

The team brought a lot of passion and a strong sense of how the brand should feel. While they lacked digital experience, they stayed deeply involved. My job was to guide and interpret—turning rough ideas into clear, confident design decisions. Once they saw it come to life, they leaned in fully.

Every Detail Designed
to Support the Story

Velora isn’t just a product—it’s a feeling. The goal was to create a sense of freedom, comfort, and quality from the moment someone lands on the site. That meant designing around nature without losing the warmth of home.

The layout leaned heavily on imagery, giving space to breathe while using bold typography where it mattered. I generated all visuals with AI, crafting realistic, grounded scenes that matched the brand's vision—since real photography wasn’t yet possible.

Animations added subtle life throughout—supporting the content without stealing focus. From the silent hero reveal to scroll-based transitions, everything was crafted to feel smooth and intentional.

The tone stayed direct and confident, focusing on the product’s eco-conscious values without overselling. It was designed to feel high-end but approachable—for both customers and investors.

Building a visually rich, animated site was only half the work—making it performant and reliable across devices was just as important. I worked closely with the developers from the start, creating a tailored mini design system with clear spacing, tokens, and documentation to ensure consistency and speed.

We established a workflow with regular check-ins, making sure that even with the site’s complexity, performance never took a back seat. I conducted hands-on QA in a pre-production environment, testing on old and new phones, multiple browsers, and slower connections to guarantee a smooth experience for anyone—investors or future customers.

The final result is now live (though not public yet), being used in early investor conversations. Once that phase wraps, the site will be opened to the public—ready to inspire trust and spark excitement.
